What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to look at our thoughts come and go without attachment to them or reactivity. It is to be one with all and the whole, in the present moment.
Through meditation, we become mindful of the body, our feelings, our thoughts and state of mind and life itself.
While meditating, we can scan the body for tensions and inquire what those feelings are. Those feelings are often referred as the 4 elements, earth, air, Fire and Water to describe the sensation. The water element can be the tears and tensions dissolving feeling like ice melting. The feeling brings an opportunity to inquire what we need and how we can nurture oneself.
